CONTROLS:
WASD/Arrows to move camera (hold shift for faster camera movement)
Left click on dice and drag to aim. Release to roll dice
Left Click and Drag  to select multiple dice to attack with
Right Click a die to hold it in your bank for future use
Right Click and Drag  to reposition dice. You can drop them into your dice bank at the bottom or drop into a dice tower to purchase upgrades
Middle Click or Space to select all dice to attack with
to reroll dice on the field
F to pickup and hold all dice


How to Play:
The evil cards are invading and the only way to stop them is with the power of dice of course!  Roll dice towards the enemy to attack. The higher the number on the die, the more damage the next attack will deal.  Use the dice towers to your advantage by rolling the required dice indicated and dropping them into the top of the tower to earn one of   the upgrades listed below (by dragging/dropping dice with Right Mouse button). Defeat each wave of cards before they reach the crystal and shatter it!



Upgrades:

  • EXTRA DIE  - Drop a number of 1 dice into the extra die tower  to earn additional dice. The cost increases with each use.
  • PIERCE - Drop a 6 into a pierce  tower to receive the pierce powerup.  A die with pierce will attack through the number of enemies as the die currently shows. Hitting an enemy will expend the powerup so feel free to reroll before attacking to strengthen the die.
  • SLOW  - Drop three 6's into the SLOW tower to temporarily slow  the enemy's advance for a minute. VERY useful for later waves.

Now go defend the sacred crystal die and stop the evil  invading cards!




*Known Issues* - Fixed in post-jam update!
 
Pressing ESC on the tutorial pauses the game but does not show a menu (just press esc again if this happens)
Held dice do not reset when  starting new game
Some browser-specific issues related to selecting all dice with space/mid-mouse in Firefox
Also, finally got around to testing and endless is not in fact endless lol

Oh my, my first impression was that this was an ok game but it really becomes addicting. I'd definitely buy something like this on the Play Store. Great execution!

Thank you so much for the kind words! :) Glad you enjoyed it! I am thinking of continuing development on this game if only because I too found it pretty addicting and want to explore new ideas and play it more myself haha Definitely considering developing this for mobile platforms as well as Win/Mac. Hopefully more news to come in the near future! :)

What would help this version so much is a fullscreen mode in browser. The frame was too big for my small screen xD

I just edited the frame options and made the fullscreen button available in the bottom right corner. Hope that helps! I also have an update I want to roll out once the jam voting ends and uploads are unlocked. This update will allow the player to zoom out and see the entire level and include a few minor tweaks and bug fixes.

This is honestly a pretty well made game, just wish the die did more damage xD

Thanks! :) Not sure if you realized, but damage depends on what  number the die shows when you roll it. A 6 should be a one-hit kill for the smaller enemies. And with the pierce powerup, the die rolls through the number of enemies that is shown on the die.

Honestly didn't spend as much time participating this year as I would've liked. Still happy with how this came out though. Wanted to include other powerups like bomb, scatter and the ability to heal the crystal but didn't have the time to dedicate to this. Hope you all enjoy it for what it is!
